"The fool hath said in his heart, there is no God." Psalm 14:1
Ravi Zacharias, evangelist and defender of the faith from India, is good, very good. He is gifted to witness in hard places, especially on college campuses, even in debates before an antagonistic audience. He always is logical, Scriptural, and presents the unconquerable Christ victoriously.
Recently in a debate over the existence of God on a university campus in Great Britain, an angry student stood to his feet and said to Dr. Zacharias, "How can you say there is a God? There is no God. If there was a God, there would not be so much evil and suffering." Dr. Zacharias responded calmly, "Let me ask you a question does not your very question itself imply there is a God? If there is such a thing as evil, do you agree that there is such a thing as good?" "Yes," said the student. Ravi Zacharias asked further, "If there is such a thing as good, does not that mean that there is a moral standard and a moral law that defines good? And, if there is a moral law that defines good, is it not also true that this means there is a Moral Law Giver, hence, a God?"
Stunned, the student slowly responded as in a daze. "Then, sir, what do you think I am really asking?"
He was an atheist unmasked. Unbelief is illogical. Logic will always lead to Jesus, if one is logical enough to believe the infallible Word of God. "The secret of the Lord is with the righteous." (Psalm 25:14)
"Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus,
Just to trust His cleansing Blood;
Just to rest upon the promise,
Just to say, "Thus saith the Lord."
